Empty Protest Site

On our way to Khossan Road today we passed one of the old protest sites. It's empty now except for the army and a few cars and vans on their side and the road is still closed. Not sure what happened at this site exactly but we did pass one shrine with flowers on a pool of blood which was a shock. After seeing how peaceful the live sites are this was a reminder of how nasty they can turn very quickly. I knew some had turned bad as we were keeping an eye on the news to make sure we'd be safe going back to Bangkok. It is even more shocking as it's so recent. Very sad.
