Let there be light . . .

. . . and lo, there was.

Dinner in Nelson tonight and then a drive around the streets for a bliphunt. This is the original gas lamp in the main street. Quite a feature and it has always astounded me that it hasn't been knocked over as they remounted it right in the middle of the road.

The cathedral is directly behind it and would have made a great photo playing with the dof but as usual I didn't have my tripod on me - so just a handheld capture of the lamp itself.
