Alluring, captivating, exotic -- these are the words used to describe the orchid. There are over 25,000 varieties and it is said that more are discovered each year. There is a certain charm and mystique which delights those who own an orchid or those who receive them as gifts.

Today was a cloudy dark day and snow is expected tonight. After church I went with a friend to a wonderful nursery to search for a spring blip. We spent a delightful afternoon wandering from one greenhouse room to another. I took many shots but choose this one since I loved the color and was able to capture the image without many people.

Planning to return as soon as possible but will not go on a weekend . . .
