This Old House

We have been watching this place for quite some time, and wondering at the increasing signs of neglect. The skip that appeared recently in the overgrown front garden made us wonder whether the house would shortly be on the market - it might be just right for Miss Flum. Today, as there was obvious activity we stopped by to ask.

We were invited to look around, to see bare boards, all the fittings removed and marks on the walls where new appliances are to go. Apparently the widow of previous owner is moving back.

Despite our disappointment, we are pleased that the house is under repair and wish it well. It is twenty eight years since we moved out, to our present address.
