Cold Weather

So today everyone is complaining talking about the weather. It's early March and the temperatures plummeted this weekend. Today at 6 a.m. it was minus 35 C, which feels like minus 43 C with wind chill. Alberta and Saskatchewan are two provinces experiencing this cold and there are wind chill warnings in some places advising people not to leave their homes. It's the kind of weather that makes news headlines.

By the time I took this photo it had warmed up to a balmy -24 C and -34 C with wind chill. It was very cold, but Mr CH still agreed to have his portrait taken. Unfortunately, I was unable to spend enough time with posing and lighting to prevent the shadows from his glasses. (Glasses are tricky at the best of times!)

However, in this kind of weather, it's the smile that counts. If you want a smile and perhaps even a chuckle, check out this little clip that was going around on facebook today - It's kind of how most of us feel, but we're still trying to stay cheeful.

And, good news, by next weekend the forecast is for temperatures near melting! Maybe spring is going to arrive after all!
