Spent the day with Pierre's mum in Marseille. We started off with a walk through the Parc Longchamp where I took this photo of the backside (pardon the pun) of one of the statues at the entrance to the Palais Longchamp. Here is the entrance! What a bonkers place. Have never seen anything like it.

The palace is now home to two museums. Here is a bit about it. Annie and I visited the musée des beaux-arts and then got the tram into town.

Annie had a quick appointment to go to so I waited at Les Arcenaulx, a gorgeous bookshop/tea room just off the Vieux Port in the centre of Marseille. A real oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle.

Dinner that night with Pierre's mum and dad at their place. Pierre had been helping his cousin Julien move house, so we were both wrecked!
