Taxidea taxus

A great evening tonight, low sun, plenty of color. And this guy, my buddy, Bill Badger, was pleasant enough to let me shoot some portraits of him. The National Wildlife Refuge where this guy lives is being surrounded by homes, so it probably won't be too long before his (and his friend's) habitat will be gone, or they'll all get run over by cars and trucks. There are homes here for sale that aren't selling and yet new developments with hundreds of homes are going up every day. We live in a crazy world.
