Neck down Icelandic cardigan

I am knitting my first ever Icelandic cardigan. It is knitted on a round with no seems from the top to the bottom. Stitches are added for the selves and divided off and the body is knitted complete. At the end I will cut up the front through what is called a seek stitch and crochet the ends to form the front. I am really enjoying doing something completely different with new skills for me to learn but I confess I am a little anxious about cutting through all my hard work later on to form the cardigan.
