The Lion's Mouth
It has been a lazy Sunday...apart from about forty five minutes of exercise in the morning. Loafed about and did a bit of internet this and that, had a relaxed late breakfast with some mangoes and then we planned a summer holiday in Corsica...I don't like this sort of trawling about the internet checking different flights and bus times and accommodation but it is a necessary part of the job and now it is done and our flights are booked...hooray.
The Lion's Mouth is a lane about a hundred yards from our house...it runs past the back gatehouse of Felbrigg Hall and through the Great Wood. I think that it is so named because when the trees are in leaf, looking down the road, it is rather like looking down a beast's gullet (if you are the imaginative sort!)
On the other hand, this may have something to do with the legend of the Norfolk Puma...
