Pupil of the Week
Yeah, ok, I know it's just because it's his turn, but he was so happy.
Normally I pick him up at 1220 as a bundle of misery as someone else was chosen and he's tired and hungry too and the half hour of the week I dread the most is the walk or scoot home on a Friday lunchtime.
But this week it was fine. High spirits and full of plans as to what to do with Hugs.
I remember Bertie from P1S and the one-upmanship was incredible. Well, if you dined at a Michelin starred restaurant, then we travelled 1st class to Dubai for the weekend and met the members of the Rolling Stones and did a lap of the grand prix circuit there with Nigel Mansell and swan with dolphins...
OK, I exaggerate, but you get the picture. So, we were already booked to walk Maddie with Val (not Cian) at Portobello.
A 45 min excursion on the 19 got us there and duly we met up; wandered aimlessly up the beach front towards Joppa; a few tantrums, throwing the ball for Maddie, chatting, eating sand, you know, just the usual.
We stopped to pose for the photo we need to put into the diary showing what great parents we are for taking our kids out for fresh air and exercise but just ignore the fact we stopped at the chippy on the way home and bought a bag of chips to go with the sausages and beans I already had at home. Will you see that in the diary. Of course not....!
But a good evening with tired but happy boys; they watched a dvd and were in bed, asleep (soundly) around 8.30
Glass of wine and A Time to Kill rounded of my day.
