Seeing this tree on the way to the Forschungszentrum in Garching, put me in mind of the great "nature versus nurture" debate. I promptly forgot about that to consider why someone would paint a tree branch blue. Is that actually still part of the debate....?

Anyway, it was good to be a little bit out of town for a change.
