My legs certainly knew they'd been for the walk on Friday! But Corinne showed no mercy, we went for a quick walk into town and collected various breads from Potts the bakers and other tasty treats from Doc Greens - just a greengrocers when we first started visiting Steve and Corinne, but now selling all sorts of exotic stuff, including little bags of fenugreek, just lying on the counter. Corinne got a couple of really lovely meringues to be part of supper.

After a late breakfast we shot off back to Hayfield for a wander round an exceptionally pretty village, followed by a pub lunch then back on the bus to New MIlls, a quick whizz round the bookshop and Oxfam and then a walk back to the house.

For some reason we were all very tired and had to have a bit of a rest. Crosswords the supper and not long after, bed
