The Philosopher's Wife

Done and Done

Today I FINALLY (after 3 months of working on it) ripped the last of the ivy off the house. It's a small house, but ripping ivy is a tedious job (although at least it involves immediate gratification).

While making my way slowly between shrubbery and house, I've found various items that I'm sure were thought to be lost forever. These include a gardening glove, various small toys and THIS THING. I found it just today.

I can't figure out what it's for. It looks like a giant corkscrew (hence screwing it into the ground) with an upside down triangle on top. Maybe it could be used to tether something to the ground... I don't know.

The point is, now it's mine. And also the brick is naked. Woo hoo!
