Eva and Ted
I'm not much of a one for nostalgia, preferring to look forward rather than backwards. But these last few days I've seen some people have posted pictures of their parents' wedding, so here's mine.
It's wartime, two days before Christmas 1944, and they're both on leave from the air force. So young, both only twenty-one, but this wedding was the first step in a marriage that was to last more than sixty-seven years.
Even death barely interrupted it - Dad died just twelve days after Mum.
Here they are on the world wide web, the greatest influence for good in my life, missed every day. Sometimes nostalgia's all right.
