Big Cat

With a drowning roar,
Gaping with reedy whiskers,
In the swirling tide


It's been dry today, and a quite sunny, but the waters are still high and the river running very fast ... to fast even for pooh sticks.... the posts which marked the edge are now midstream and the reeds sticking up looked like cat's whiskers... but on a giant scale ....

Was working most of today ... I won't bore you with the details, but escaped late afternoon for a mooch round the second hand, sorry, "vintage" shops. managed to resist lots of sparkly things, but got a whole outfit - boots, skirt and top for £14 ..... just need somewhere to go now .......
Relaxing evening in and watched the excellent Stewart Lee on telly .... I know he's an acquired taste but I think he's sharp, clever and just brilliant ....
