Spring Drift
On the first day of spring, a beautiful stand of primroses cascade down a bank in a lane. I didn't get out to the river in the morning, as intended, but we needed to go to B+Q, and decided to stop and have a walk at the river on the way back.
We began with a cup of tea at the cafe, and then went for the walk. The light was much better than it would have been had I gone out early, and there were some nice shots of the branches of trees which have begun to change colour as the buds begin to develop. There was a nice shot of a willow tit on a lichen covered branch, a long tailed tit - which seem to have paired off after foraging in a flock over the winter - and some shots of the dam.
On getting home, I went into the garden where we have two beautiful blue crocus opening, near a patch of narcissi. I might take some more pictures of these for my blip tomorrow - although the weather doesn't sound too promising.
