Ruins

A lovey sunny day, bit cold but ok when out and about walking :)

The day started early with clothes out on the line, then a lovely long walk all around Cunningsburgh with Sammy dog and ending my walk at my sister's for a cuppa. Laura was heading out but mam came along and we headed for a run with my niece Eve. Lovely walk around an old broch and fishing station at Eastshore, Virkie. Sad news came in about one of my nephews falling badly off his bike but peerie Alex has recovered quickly and will go see him and family tomorrow.
A quiet evening now after being along my sister most of the night, poor Sammy is just shattered :)

This is some of the old ruins at Eastshore. I'd love to know the history of the area. A couple of old houses and lots of small outbuildings and the remains of a broch that are slowly being eaten away by the sea. Been a place where people have lived and worked for 1000s of years and now sadly abandoned.
