Seaside Saturday

The weather was surprisingly good today, so I got the train to Southend and walked along the beach to Thorpe Bay and on to Shoeburyness, then back again. It was lovely! There was a gorgeous sunset on the walk back too, just before I left to go home.

I noticed a couple of beach huts for sale and I looked up the prices when I got home, £18,000 for one on the promenade and £25,000 for one on stilts on the beach...good Lord! Though I know they sell for quite a bit more than that in some coastal resorts. I'd love a beach hut, but it seems such a lot for a 'shed', especially with the storms we've had recently. The steps on the second one look a little battered!
