Playing Trains

Al is so good with little C, she's only two and a half but she adores him and he plays with her with lots of patience and enthusiasm. He is rewarded with toddler devotion. He is just the same with her little sister who is nearly one.

When C is not loving Al, she's trotting around after Betsy. She got into Betsy's bed early this morning and they played with all her old soft toys. When our friends left one of them said, 'thank you for having such lovely children who are so nice to our children', but Betsy and Al love both of them very much and love to play with them.

Al went to a party this afternoon and I flaked out on the sofa. Having two toddlers in the house for just 24 hours was exhausting; I don't know how I did it bs k in the day. It's a relentless round of milk, shoes on, shoes off, cheese sandwiches and wiping. And I was one of four adults and was playing only a minor role!
