Bonding...?

There's a birthday coming up this week in the Weegie household. One that lets a certain young lady loose on the family car and will make me feel very old (and a bit scared too!)

In preparation for this, No 2 and I went birthday present shopping today...also gave us both chance for some mother/daughter bonding. I made her promise to keep her phone in her bag, she made me promise to keep my debit card out of mine !

I'm not sure she understood the concept of shopping for someone else's birthday presents - as she kept suggesting things I would like to buy HER instead!

And since when did the seemingly-12-year- old-overly-friendly shop assistants start making conversations sounding like my hair dresser....."Are you going anywhere NICE tonight ??"

Well, obviously not - I would need a pace maker and a body double to get me out on a Saturday night these days. A quiet night in with blip is more my style.

Here's No 2 when we stopped for refreshments. The light from the window was delicious, but it took about 20 shots to get one where she didn't have her hand (or frappacino!) in front of her face.

No 2: " I will let you take a blip but only with your PHONE!"
