Up and Away

Spent the afternoon visiting the Solent Sky Museum in Southampton.

This is a fascinating little aviation museum celebrating the aircraft associated with Southampton and the Solent.

The show-pieces for me were undoubtedly the various Supermarines and Spitfires and the Schneider Cup stories, and the lovely Sandringham Flying Boat.

Haven't yet flown on a flying boat - not sure the Sandringham is ever going to be an option again, but I'm sure there are still other flying boats elsewhere.

Do go and visit the museum if you are in the area.
