Green sparrows in Peckham!
Sorry, no - not a sparrow. One of London's many green parakeets, which we often hear squawking in the trees at the back of our garden. This was taken in Nunhead Cemetery where we'd been for a walk in the sunshine (still plenty of mud around though).
Legend has it that Jimi Hendrix released two green parrots in Carnaby Street in the 1960's to bring a bit of psychedelic colour to London, and all of London's current flocks of parrots are descendants of those two swinging birds ..
I wish that branch wasn't right in front of his face, but he was a long long way away and the camera did well to capture him.
