TheKelpies: a first glimpse

Had some garden shopping to do near Stirling today, so we decided to take a detour to catch our first in-the-flesh glimpse of The Kelpies. I hesitate to give this link because its pics are so superior!

Even after all the publicity, I was still taken aback by the sheer size of them! The blip is taken from the car as we sped past on the far away carriageway of the motorway. Getting closer via the sliproad was going to be a nightmare because of roadworks so we settled for a quick look and the promise to ourselves of a weekday visit before they are fully open and no doubt mobbed. This is going to be a major visitor attraction, but they'll have to sort out access very soon!
