One eminently useful feature of my new, little Nikon S6600 snapshot camera is its flip-out LCD screen. It articulates along 2 axes so I can get shots that would ordinarily give me panicky spasms in my gut-- like this one: looking down the gleaming stairwell from the eighth floor of my building where I work.
My office is a pretty spiffy space which I appreciate very much. I grew up working at my Dad's warehouse, which, while very functional, was about the ugliest place you could possibly imagine. This building is its polar opposite and its sterility soothes me.
It was a good day, starting with a fun but grueling, early morning workout with my friends at the office fitness center (my Dad's warehouse had no fitness center), continuing with some good progress on engaging technical problems, and ending with a drive out to a hotel in Hagerstown so the family can get to the ski area early tomorrow. That promises to be a good time with the day starting at 15F and peaking at 45 by the time we finish.
I'll have my camera and hopefully capture something interesting for the journal.
