Ronnie's Legs

A trip to Ninewells hospital this afternoon and what a surprise in the foyer! There is a display case with Ronnie's Legs, his Olympic torch and his Olympic outfit!

Ronnie was an amazing man, around 5 years ago he was in the same ward as my husband, they both had had legs amputated, only difference is this time it was Ronnie's second leg amputation. He was a fighter and before long we would see him out walking and entering races etc!!! Sadly Robbie has now passed on but he was an inspiration to us at a traumatic time in our lives and of course to many others !

He would have been so proud to know his false kegs and Olympic baton were on display in the hospital that did everything they could for him!
