Tree Shadows after Rain

View south from the Rue Tolbiac, on the way to the metro this afternoon. It had just rained, and the sun was out. On the left is a long L-shaped building that extends along this street and the Rue Tolbiac behind us (see the map). It houses three public schools for different ages, and the fence you see is to keep pupils from getting into the street; it extends the entire length of the building on this side, and there's more along Rue Tolbiac

I was on my way to the Bibliotheque Forney, for the exhibition "Les mots en quête de images"--words by a poet and writer, accompanied by cartoon- style images by five artists. You have to see it to fully grasp it.
