View from the garden

DDW's Alphabet Challenge Day 28 : !@#$%^&*

Today has been a day of massive highs and huge lows...

Last night, just as it was getting dark, a friend, who is new to blip, messaged me on facebook to say that there was an aurora happening. I dived out into the garden and started snapping away, ending up just standing saying !@#$%^&* and similar words as I stared at the amazing spectacle. I took over a hundred shots as the lights painted patterns across the sky, increasing and decreasing in intensity. It was truly amazing.
I stayed up til after 1am watching the lights dance across the sky, wishing that my beautiful girl was with me.

A sleepy morning wander with the dogs and then off to sort out some stuff for my mum. Back home and the afternoon walk was done in pouring rain. Whilst out, HV sent me a message telling me her flight had been cancelled. Flybe were providing no info and she was in Birmingham airport in limbo land. She has been rebooked onto another flight, but has to stop off in Aberdeen overnight. We are both bitterly disappointed.
