Morning Walk
Another stunning day. Went for a quick walk along the shoreline. Recovering from being up very late after a bewildering display of the Merry Dancers. Best they've been for a good while. Sky was red and green for a long time and huge sheets of light shifting all over the sky. So strong we could even watch them looking to the south. Stood outside the kitchen for about 4.5 hrs.
Just had a call from Laurence in Thurso who wants to come and stay in our Bothy to surprise his Granny in the village - however unfortunately it's the one time we cannot accommodate him; he's going to phone the Noust. The Noust has just changed hands this week. Davey and Anne have moved sooth and folk who have been staying in Dounby take over the bar and food, the Post Office and the b and b and self-catering. Rather them than me.
Going to Melvin's funeral today in the village church. CMC and Kathlenn are busy preparing sandwches and the like for after the service.
Melvin.
Melvin had struggled with his health for some time. But he always mainatined his sense of humour and never compalined. He was well-supported by neighbours.
