Jack Strong

Had a trip to see 'Jack Strong' today, a rather nifty Polish thriller about Ryszard Kuklinski, a Polish officer who worked for the CIA over ten years of the Cold War and supplied intelligence that prevented a it boiling over into a hot war a few times. The recruitment of Kuklinski and the way he passed intelligence to the Americans is quite neat and ramps up the tension in the movie (especially when you find out the spyhunter you saw in the beginning is actually one of Kuklinski's friends), but it's not until the final act when the net is closing around Kuklinski that it really becomes excellent - a breathless escape with his family is nicely done and very downt to the wire.
