I called on the very talented Ms Aliah Jan to pick up some yummy peachcots - a cross between a peach and an apricot tree - at her house on Pollok Wharf Road, on the Awhitu Peninsula. After dinner, she took me for a walk on the west coast beach at Hamiltons Gap at sunset.
