Blip scramble. Not sure where the day went.

Went to bed far too late last night, we got engrossed watching a French supernatural thriller series called Les Revenants. We'd been waiting to see this show for ages (we missed its run on Sundance) and it's just been released on Netflix. We had to stay up and watch another episode…

An early start this morning for an international call about a delivery that has gone awry. I did not reach a very helpful person which made for an irritating conversation. The day progressed and the delivery was not made yet again so another call. At least that time I reached someone wonderfully professional who said they'll keep an eye on things, we discussed the time difference between West Coast US and UK and this person will call me tomorrow "not too early" to let me know if delivery was successful. If not, we go from there. We are entering day 3 of this saga.

"You float through my brain in the most wonderful and esoteric circumstances" - this is what a friend said to me, it really made my day! This is a friend that I haven't spoken with in a long, long time. A San Francisco friend. We all left the city at different times for various reasons, kept in touch and then careers took over, as they have a habit of doing, and we fell behind in keeping up but happily today we managed to reach each other, she's now in Austin, Texas when I thought she was still in Chicago! Really a delight to be back in touch again.

The other good thing to happen today was that I finished another photo book, for 2012. Only a couple of years behind but hey, I'm getting there!
