Southern Royal Albatross

Beautiful day but not so out at sea. Up early and went out on the Albatross Encounter for two hours. Numerous birds (Albatross,Petrol, Shearwaters, Shags, Skuas, Gulls, Penguin), NZ Fur Seals, Dusky and Hector's dolphins seen at close quarters. Bite to eat before setting off for Whale Watch – unfortunately not to be as conditions out at sea were rough and the trip was cancelled. Back to the Motel to catch up on sleep and organise a few Motel stops on North Island.
