Street scene

Another view from another Scottish town...this time Uddingston where I was meeting with another room full of Yes volunteers.

Again there was a good mix of folk in the room some who have done a fair bit of campaigning for political parties and others who have never campaigned in their lives but have been motivated to do so for the first time in this Referendum campaign.

Campaigning can be a tad daunting when you've never done it before. But the belief that Scotland's future should be in Scotland's hands has spurred these folk on to join in and work for a Yes vote in September.

And the bonus for me tonight was the number of women in the room that were new to campaigning. They had come along to find out how they could do more to secure that better Scotland for their children and their grandchildren. Fantastic.

As I was leaving Uddingston I saw Mr Fox trying to cross the road but thankfully he had second thoughts and ran back into the park he had emerged from.

A better drive home than the drive there which was wet. The drive home was dry and under clear skies and in the company of the last half hour of Travelling Folk.
