The antidote to stuck cameras
Kodak launched 126 film and the Instamatic range of cameras in 1963, intended to be relatively low cost and easy to load. My father recognised them at once as a solution to the sticking film problem, and, although that would only have been one of the reasons for their popularity, they did sell well (Wikipedia says 50 million were produced between 1963 and 1970.
