A little zecchino...

DDWs February 2014 - Alphabet Challenge - Z is for Zecchino (well, it didn't specify it had to be in English...)
Bobsbitz59 Technique Challenge - Fine Art?

In 1938 my Grandmother went on a Mediterranean cruise, where she met a rather dashing young man. He bought her this fine, panelled, musical cigarette case, and the beautiful art deco brooch. She was won over, and they were married the following year. Sadly, two years later he was called up, and then, in June 1944, the ship was torpedoed and lost with all hands.

The word zecchino is Italian for sequin - and it was by Italy that they met.

I used radial zoom to accentuate the brooch against the cigarette case.
