Rainbow of hope

Spotted this rainbow at Stoke Gabriel in Devon today. I thought it was worth blipping in the light of the role of rainbows in religion and mythology as a symbol of hope and optimism.

Stoke Gabriel is a picture book village situated on a creek of the River Dart. It was absolutely idyllic when we arrived today as the late afternoon sun came out casting a beautiful golden glow over everything.
