Halfway Down

Halfway down the stairs
is a stair
where I sit.
There isn't any
other stair
quite like
it.
I'm not at the bottom,
I'm not at the top;
so this is the stair
where
I always
stop.

When the sun shines, this is my favourite place to curl up with a good book. And with Bath Literature Festival starting tomorrow, I've got a whole pile of new books just waiting to be read and enjoyed. And if there's a sunny spot to be found, you can guarantee that a furry creature will turn up to try and squeeze herself in on the action!
