Cathedral to Consumption
I went for a walk before starting work on the eastern outskirts of Cambridge. A chill wind was blowing and I did not take a coat with me. I walked past the Leper Chapel and on a little way to see what I could see. It was just after nine on a Sunday morning and other than the odd cyclist and morning jogger, the streets were largely deserted. Just off the Newmarket Road, I came across this huge empty warehouse of a supermarket which had not yet opened for the day. Its sheer scale and emptiness impressed me though not in a particularly appealing way!
