Early this morning

I do not know the name of this shrub.
The day before it carried a yellow flower, about 6cm in diameter, comprising a few petals, and a very dark centre.

I know what a black eyed susan looks like, this is something different.

Does anybody know what it is, perhaps?

In a few hours' time Johann will be arriving from SA for a three week stay - I guess he will feel fairly washed out condsidering how many time zones were crossed.... but we shall try to keep him awake till bedtime!
