Half Term #1

After a stressful (!!) two day week, I had Tom overnight Wednesday - just because - well - you know, I never get him 1-1.

So Thursday - he said he wanted to go swimming so we trotted up to Ainslie Harriot and swam for a bit; he's nearly there and needs practice and confidence.

But good; we wandered back through the park and then picked up his bike and came home for lunch.

Then a 3 hour cycle marathon to Cramond - the island was off limits - tide in. But we stopped and threw stones and looked at birds and chatted and just generally hung out. We collect Alex on the way back - he was so thrilled to see us rock up on bikes!

Then home, dinner, bath, bedtime. All so good when I have a houseful.
