Native Flower

This flower growing in our garden is a Correa alba it is also known as White Correa. It is 25mm (1") across. The shrub grows to around 1.5 metres although ours is no where near that height. I think this is the first time it has flowered. This shrub hopefully will one day attract small birds.

A rather peculiar day today as there were occasional very light showers, just enough to stop me setting up the electric saw to cut my timber flooring.
