Hello, goodbye

It was only 10 days ago that I my son returned home after 3 months away. Tomorrow, he leaves again but this time for 4 months. He has a gig on a Holland America cruise ship that will take him to Sydney, New Zealand, Fiji Islands, Samoa, Hawaii and then finally back home to the Pacific Northwest. In that four months he'll get to go places most people only dream of going. I'm so proud of him. I'll miss him but an so proud that he's worked hard to make a gig like this happen.

I convinced Vincent to take a walk with me today and brought my camera along so I could get one last portrait. I'll be looking at this picture often for the next four months.
