Halcyon Day At Verulamium

Weather forecast was good so I headed to St. Albans this morning. I walked alongside the River Ver in Verulamium Park and immediately encountered a gaggle of photographers, some with lenses like drainpipes. The famous, brazen, female kingfisher was sitting in a conifer, nonchalant and in full view. Shame the sun wasn't on her. :(

I left in a hailstorm. Should have stayed. My mate was there this afternoon and got a shot in full sun, complete with a shining fish.

I'm happy. I've got a pic to print out and take to Mother in the care home as she has requested. :)
