Busy, busy ..

I got quite a lot of stuff done this morning - including taking two big boxes of art books into the local art college - it's much easier to declutter if you know the stuff you're getting rid of will be useful elsewhere.

Poor mum has been driving me bonkers all day.

I changed her hearing aid batteries this morning, but all day, she's looked sharply in the opposite direction whenever I've spoken to her and didn't respond at all unless I really shouted.

Deafness and dementia can be easily confused (and she has both, of course) - so I didn't know for sure if it was a hearing problem (which seemed unlikely with the new batteries) or some auditory hallucinations (which happen a lot)

Out of total desperation I checked both the 'Brand New' batteries - one was almost totally flat.

Oh dear - such a simple problem, so easily solved ..
