Life and Death in the City

Found this pigeon bit on the way to work. I suppose some beastie (a fox?) got lucky and the pigeon ran out of luck.

Update: I showed the picture to my bird friend who told me that this pigeon got it mid-air. The breastbone and few feathers are typical leftovers from an avian strike. When you look closely you can see the beak marks. So, it wasn't a fox but a hawk that got it's tea...
