Guarding The Loot

Another catch up blip...

You'd think these goldfinches were guarding gold, the way they scoured the wildlife area for possible thieves.

I saw as many as a dozen of the brightly colored little birds way in the distance on a feeder at any given time in the yard at Madera Canyon. I found taking a couple of hours every day for myself before the "big days" really helped calm my nerves and helped put things in perspective for me.

I think I'll try to get in a couple of "me" hours every day in the future just for quiet reflection - or driving with the wind in my hair with oldies blasting on the radio - whichever presents itself as the best possibility at the time! :-)
