A Thousand a Day

By Daver64

Sad, but proud.

I want to thank all of you wonderful people for your kind words of sympathy and condolence, over the past week.
I will add some words to this a little later, but for now, I want to just post the image.

Sincere thanks
Paul

p.s. (added Friday 28th February)

I wanted to add just a few words about my Dad, and his funeral.
Dad was almost 80 years old, and although his death was sudden, he passed without too much suffering, with Mum and me by his side. We said goodbye to him in a fitting and moving ceremony at the local Crematorium.

The hardest part of Wednesday, for me, was not the sad farewell, but seeing my Mum suffering the inevitable sorrow. Happily, with the help of family and friends, we all got through the day, and as well as the tears, there were plenty of smiles and laughter as fond memories were shared.

I was privileged to give a short address, during the tribute. I have derived a huge amount of strength, and comfort, from the sentiments expressed in this song. I really do believe, that although we have said goodbye to Dad today, that The Man is Alive !
