My Walk to the Sea

A child free morning saw me leave the house early to walk to the beach. It took roughly 20 minutes to walk from my house to our nearest beach at Mudeford. It was quiet and peaceful and as I walked I thought about how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful area.

I grew up in Poole and as a child remember my grandparents taking me for a walk along Poole Quay whenever they were looking after me. They used to buy me an ice-cream and then we'd pick up fish and chips to take back to their house for dinner. There were always plenty of fishing baskets lined up along the Quay.

Today I found this fishing basket washed up against the rocks.
