Is this another blip meet?

We headed for the Banks Peninsular today, to visit Akaroa & then Lyttleton on the way back.

This blip was taken at the Giant's House in Akaroa. It is a most unusual garden which contains mosaic figures, paths and accessories, also interesting planting, which complements all the colour schemes. Just fascinating to wander round as it is so quirky. A gallery has been added since we last visited and contains an interesting series of pieces of work.

I took loads of pictures and when I get home I will upload some of them to FlickR and link them in. The internet connection here is a bit hit or miss, and keeps dropping connection.

We did a harbour tour looking for dolphins, seals, birds and penguins. The penguins were the only ones not to attend the party!! There was a strong wind which made the boat rather bumpy at times!! It added to the fun of the trip and the tested my photography skills. I need to do some cropping on most of the pictures of the seals (or whatever I was trying to capture) as they appear in any of the corners or are seen trying to escape out of the side of the scene!!!

The bobbing up and down was practice, if required, for the events we plan for Friday!!

We returned to Christchurch early evening so that I could attend to the mundane jobs of clothes washing and drying. A necessary chore on longer holiday trips!!

We went back to the Thai restaurant to eat this evening, as we enjoyed the food so much on Monday.

This is our last night in Christchurch and we head north tomorrow, so I need to get the ironing done before going to bed.

Apologies for the lack of commenting. I will try to catch up when we have more reliable WiFi!!!
