Monday mornings don't get much better than this: it was bucketing down and we knew that driving down to school would not be an option for Mrs Raheny. The weather would add to the normal Monday morning traffic chaos.
I can't walk Luca down on my own as I usually do as I would get drenched and have the rest of the day at work to nurse a burgeoning pneumonia.
The only option is to dress them all in the rain gear, pack the little ones in the double buggy with the rain cover on and venture in the rain through the hostile country of Knackeragua to the school.
